TechCrunch has covered viAct’s US$2M seed round, co-led by SOSV and Vectr Ventures, with participation from Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Fund, Artesian Ventures, and ParticleX, marking one of the earliest global spotlights on viAct’s mission to automate construction site safety. The piece highlighted how viAct’s platform uses computer vision to detect hazards and deliver real-time alerts through a mobile interface built for fast-moving, high-noise site environments.

Founded in 2016, viAct serves over 30 construction clients across Asia and Europe. The funding will be used for R&D, product development, and expansion into Southeast Asian markets.

“Working in a noisy and dynamic environment makes it hard to look at detailed dashboards. - Hugo Cheuk, Co-founder and COO, viAct”
